What´s the time? or What time is it?(¿Qué hora es?)

8.00 - It´s eight o´clock. Son las ocho en punto.

8:05 - It´s five past eight. Son las ocho y cinco.

8:10 - It´s ten past eight. Son las ocho y diez.

8:15 - It´s quarter past eight. Son las ocho y cuarto.

8:20 - It´s twenty past eight. Son las ocho y veinte.

8:25 - It´s twenty-five past eight. Son las ocho y veinticinco.

8:30 - It´s half past eight. Son las ocho y media.

8:35 - It´s twenty-five to nine. Son las nueve menos veinticinco.

8:40 - It´s twenty to nine. Son las nueve menos veinte.

8:45 - It´s quarter to nine. Son las nueve menos cuarto.

8:50 - It´s ten to nine. Son las nueve menos diez.

8:55 - It´s five to nine. Son las nueve menos cinco.

Usamos It is o It´s para contestar a la pregunta What´s the time? o What time is it?

Usamos at+time cuando queremos indicar la hora de un evento.

The football match starts at seven o´clock in the evening.

El partido de fútbol empieza a las siete de la tarde.
